  • ### How many participants are on one trip?
The group consists of 16 to 18 participants. We deliberately keep the groups small, as it allows us to be more flexible and makes it easier to form a tight-knit group.
  • What about my fitness/health?
Good fitness is a must as well as having good health. For this it is best to consult your doctor, who will be able to give you the best advice. We also work together with tankantwerpen.be. You can contact them for a bike fit, a complete cardiological check-up and a training program.
  • Are there any age restrictions on the trips?
Minimum age is 18, there is no maximum age limit. As long as your health permits you can come along.
  • Where do we sleep?
We alternate between tents, local guesthouse and eco lodges. On the rest day and on the last day we will spoil ourselves a bit more. Note that luggage will be transported between stops by jeep, so you won't have to carry your own luggage on the bike.
  • What will we be eating?
Lots of goodies, all local and fresh. For example: an egg in the morning, lunch on the road in the afternoon, think delicious tomatoes, avocados, mango etc .. and as an energizer: bananas galore. We eat dinner once we reach our stop for the night, which can range from from oven-baked pizzas, freshly caught fish, and tasty barbecues. Of course, we take vegetarians into account.
  • Which airline do we fly with?
We fly directly to Rwanda with Brussels Airlines.
  • Fiets?
  • What about insurance?
Everyone takes their own insurance. Why? Often you already have good insurance and it's a waste to pay twice.
  • How much do you pay for this adventure?
The total price is 2.947€ pp* Including direct flight, 11 nights accommodation, breakfast, dinner and supplies en route. Bicycle transport, GPS routes, transport of your luggage from A to B, ... Excluding: passport, vaccinations, possible pcr tests, insurance, bicycle, trips on days off, extra drinks, gifts.  *possible surcharge due to price increases of kerosene
  • How do I register?
To register for the next trip click here.
  • What about COVID?
COVID not only makes traveling more unpredictable but unfortunately also more expensive. The rules are constantly changing. In that respect, it is always a case of waiting to see what the official guidelines and local rules say. Kigali International Airport is open to all travelers. Rwanda strongly advises travelers to be fully vaccinated. It is no longer necessary to present a negative test result before departure. Should the situation change and testing still prove necessary, each participant is responsible for the necessary testing. ( update Nov 15, 2022- via Tropsich Institute Travel Advisory)
